QML Pathology On Site
For your convenience, a QML Pathology collection room is located inside ZH Doctors Cleveland at 21 Middle Street. If your doctor orders blood tests or other pathology, you can have your sample collected on site, often straight after your appointment.
Collection Hours
Pathology collection is available on weekdays during clinic hours. Collection times are set by QML Pathology and can change, so please call us on 07 2142 4233 to confirm the current collection times before you come in.
The clinic is open Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, and closed on weekends and public holidays.
Do I Need an Appointment?
Walk-ins are welcome for most routine tests. Some special tests must be booked with QML before you attend, including the Glucose Tolerance Test (GTT), Tuberculosis (Quantiferon Gold), Dexamethasone Suppression and VIP tests. Book online at bookings.qml.com.au or call QML on (07) 2146 3500.
What to Bring
- Your pathology request form (paper or electronic referral)
- Your Medicare card, and any concession or DVA card
- A list of your current medications
Preparing for Your Test
- Only fast if your doctor or the request form tells you to
- Drink plenty of water beforehand unless told otherwise
- Keep taking your usual medications unless advised not to
- Wear sleeves that roll up easily

Costs
Pathology is billed by QML Pathology, not by ZH Doctors Cleveland. QML will let you know if any out-of-pocket costs apply. For billing questions, contact QML on (07) 2146 3500.
Your Results
Results are sent directly to the doctor who requested the test. If your results need follow-up, our team will contact you. You can also book an appointment with your GP to discuss your results.
