Why regular skin checks matter
Skin cancer often develops without pain or symptoms, but most skin cancers are highly treatable when caught early. You may be at higher risk if you have:
- Fair skin, freckles or light-coloured eyes
- A history of sunburn or tanning
- A personal or family history of skin cancer
- Many or unusual moles
- A weakened immune system
